Long COVID & Brain Fog Program
VAC Family and Wellbeing Fund is supporting 100 participants in an innovative new clinical program that is custom designed to address the physical and neurological/cognitive impacts of Long COVID and resulting Brain Fog symptoms.

Offered Services
- Full assessment and screening to identify severity of symptoms to determine if clients participate in a Low, Moderate or High severity pathway.
- Services in each pathway are provided in 2, 6-week treatment blocks with on-going reassessment (virtually and in-person) to monitor progress.
- Client treatment will be adjusted between streams depending on progress and any new clinical needs after each treatment block.
- Guidance provided through a Health Navigator and Peer Support person.
- Group-based education and support, digital tools to help understand and manage symptoms, and Primary Care assessment and cognitive (non-invasive) brain health scans using NeuroCatch technology.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia and sleep dysfunction
- Nutritional consultations and guidance
- Exercise consultation and programming
- Mindfulness & stress management
- Mental health interventions for depression and anxiety

Funds from this grant have been gratefully issued to the Legion Veterans Village Research Foundation (LVVRF) by the Veterans Affairs Canada Veterans and Family Wellbeing Fund, to deliver and evaluate the impacts and outcomes of the LVV Personalized Therapeutic Program on veteran and family participants who have experienced Long COVID or Brain FOG.
** Importantly, this program and each participant will be a part of an overall Clinical Research Study to evaluate the impacts of personalized, integrated clinical interventions on Symptoms of Long Covid and Brain Fog.
